2001 Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway

On November 20, 2001 Bless the Children Foundation along with the Anthony Dorsett Foundation, Charles Woodson and Councilman Larry Reid's office donated 500 turkey dinners to families in need. Other receipients of the turkey giveaway were The Mother Wright Foundation and the Pathways Hospice. Thank you to the East Oakland Multi-Purpose Senior Center for sharing their facility with us and to the Grocery Outlet and Pak n Save for their help in providing the trimmings. We hope to make this an annual event.
